How much does HPLC peptide purity testing cost and how long does it take?

HPLC peptide purity testing at Cert Biohealth Testing Labs costs CAD $175–$350 per sample with a standard turnaround of 9–11 business days (rush 2–3 days available). Every report includes a chromatogram, calculated purity percentage, impurity profile with detection to 0.1%, and an impartial assessment of the supplier’s COA.

Independent HPLC Analysis & COA Verification

Our laboratory uses RP-HPLC with UV detection and LC-MS/MS to quantify purity, identify impurities, and verify supplier COAs. Methods are validated per ICH Q2 guidelines.

HPLC Purity Analysis

High-resolution RP-HPLC with UV detection for accurate quantification of peptide purity. Typical detection limits of 0.1% for impurities.

LC-MS/MS Analysis

Liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry for detailed molecular characterization and identification of peptide impurities.

Percent Purity Determination

Precise quantification of target peptide purity using validated HPLC methods with multiple detection wavelengths.

Impurity Profiling

Identification and characterization of deletion sequences, truncated peptides, and synthesis by-products.

Peptide Purity Testing — FAQ

How much sample do I need to send for peptide purity testing?

Typically 100–500 µg of lyophilized peptide is sufficient for a full HPLC purity analysis. For combined purity and mass spec testing, we may require up to 1 mg. Contact us at info@certbiohealth.ca or +1 (416) 000-0000 for sample-specific guidance.

How long does peptide purity testing take?

Standard turnaround is 9–11 business days from sample receipt. Rush 2–3 business day service is available for an additional fee. We will confirm the expected delivery date when your sample is logged in our LIMS.

What is the difference between HPLC purity testing and LC-MS/MS analysis?

HPLC purity testing quantifies the percentage of your target peptide versus all other peaks in the chromatogram. LC-MS/MS additionally confirms molecular identity and characterizes individual impurities by mass. We recommend LC-MS/MS for critical applications or when your supplier COA does not include mass spec data.

Can you verify purity claims on a supplier COA?

Yes — this is one of our most common requests. We run your sample independently and provide a side-by-side comparison with the supplier’s COA. In our dataset, 73% of samples show measurable discrepancies versus the supplier-reported purity.

What detection limits can your lab achieve for purity?

Our RP-HPLC methods routinely detect impurities at the 0.1% level. For critical applications, our LC-MS/MS methods can detect trace impurities below 0.05% depending on the peptide matrix.

Where can I get peptide purity testing done in Canada?

Cert Biohealth Testing Labs is based in Toronto, Ontario, and accepts mail-in samples from anywhere in Canada. Results are delivered electronically within 9–11 business days.

What does a peptide purity testing report contain?

Our Certificate of Analysis includes: the RP-HPLC chromatogram with peak integration, percentage purity value, full impurity profile, comparison to your supplier COA, method details, and a review signed by a PhD-level analytical chemist.

Can you test peptide purity for compounding pharmacies?

Yes. We provide compounding pharmacies with batch-level purity documentation that aligns with Health Canada GMP requirements, including USP and Ph.Eur. method references where applicable.
